This month, the federal government will pay for two of the nation's biggest prescription drugs, Viagra and Cialis, that are linked to a higher rate of heart attacks, strokes and blood clots.
The drug maker's lawsuit in the U. S. District Court in Manhattan claims that the government failed to adequately warn consumers about the dangers of taking Viagra.
In April 2017, the drug company agreed to pay Pfizer $1.25 billion to settle federal allegations that it improperly marketed and promoted Viagra.
The lawsuit claims the drug maker failed to adequately warn consumers about the dangers of taking Viagra, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia, a type of enlarged prostate.
The case is the result of the Federal Trade Commission's investigation into alleged violations of the Federal Trade Commission Act, which requires state drug regulators to "prescribe or approve" drug products that are unfair or deceptive.
The U. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey filed a response to the complaint on Nov. 25, 2017.
The government says the drug maker did not inform consumers about the dangers of Viagra or other medications that are used to treat erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
In the suit, the government alleges that the drug maker "continually failed" to disclose the risks of taking Viagra or other drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia, and to "continue to maintain adequate awareness of the benefits of the drug."
The suit also claims that the drug maker failed to adequately warn consumers of the possible adverse effects of Viagra and other medications that are used to treat erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The suit is being investigated by the Food and Drug Administration.
The suit was filed after the U. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning about the dangers of Viagra.
"Viagra is an important medication for many men and has been a significant cause of heart disease and stroke in many men," the FDA said in a release.
"Viagra has been associated with a variety of serious adverse effects and it has been associated with serious side effects in some men."
The FDA has not made any public statements about the drug's potential side effects, but the agency said it will issue a statement as soon as possible.
The company said the drug company has made no effort to disclose the risks or to warn consumers about the potential dangers of taking Viagra.
"For the past year, Pfizer has been making substantial progress in making available to patients Viagra. Our products are designed to help men who have been adversely affected by erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia and the conditions that can occur in people who do not have this condition," said the company. "We are committed to continuing to work with pharmaceutical companies to provide safe and effective treatment options."
The case is the result of the federal government's response to the U. Food and Drug Administration's warning about Viagra.
In January, the FDA warned that the drug maker, Pfizer, had engaged in conduct that led to the deaths of at least 13 people, including an employee of Pfizer.
The company has also said it will not release information about the potential effects of Viagra on consumers.
A spokesman for Pfizer said the company would not comment on the lawsuit.
The company, which is in the midst of a massive investigation into the alleged illegal marketing of Viagra, said its research and development division is reviewing the case.

AUSTRALIAN PHARMACY— The Australian International College for Women’s Health (AIWHA) has announced the approval of a prescription-only medicine for erectile dysfunction in men as an ED treatment and the first indication for a generic version of Viagra. The approval will be based on the results of an Australian study.
The AIWHA is part of the New South Wales Department of Health (NSWHD). The approval is part of the Australian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Collaborative Research Programme to develop generic versions of Viagra, which will be available for purchase over the counter from pharmacies in Australia. The company also has the Australian Food and Drug Administration (AFDA) to advise its Australian consumers on whether to take the generic version of Viagra or its equivalent, such as sildenafil, the most commonly used drug for erectile dysfunction.
“This is the first approval of a generic Viagra product for erectile dysfunction,” said AIWHA President and CEO Mark Mallon. “We look forward to further testing and approval of Viagra in men and their partners, as well as a generic version of Viagra as an ED treatment, with a focus on improving treatment outcomes for ED.”
Viagra is the most commonly prescribed drug for erectile dysfunction in Australia and is one of the world’s leading ED drugs. Pfizer, the company’s patent exclusivity expired in 2012 and now has over 50,000 patents covering the product’s efficacy and safety. Pfizer will have four generic versions of Viagra by the end of the year.
The approval will allow men to buy sildenafil tablets online for $0.50 per tablet, or 50mg for every 100 tablets.
